The most futuristic districts of Paris from the West to the East side of the capital.
The visit starts at La Défense and ends up at Quai d’Ivry.
La Défense: located on the West side of Paris, this district was planned by town planners of the 1930s like one of the most innovative and audacious urbanistic project ever conceived.
Often compared to Manhattan though much smaller, La Défense is the business district of Paris, with a high concentration of big companies head offices, exhibitions halls, shopping malls and a big hub of underground highways, metro, train and tram lines.
Buildings and skyscrapers architectural style ranges from the 1930s to the 2010s.
Many sculptures and art monuments designed by the greatest artists of the 20tyh and 21st centuries are settled on the vast esplanade.
Located on the opposite side of the capital, the new districts of Bercy and Tolbiac have been constructed in the late 1980s to 2010s on a large ancient industrial area of port activities along the banks of the river Seine.
It is one of the most futuristic and exciting districts of the capital, with audacious architecture, bridges and monuments. As well as many high standard cultural, university and leisure activities: the famous National Library, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the multisport arena of Bercy, the French Institute of Fashion, a big university center located in ancient docks, multiplex cinemas, shopping malls, beautiful parks, large promenades of the renovated banks of Seine with many hype places on boats: cafés, restaurants, clubs with specialized electro programming and top international DJs, and even a big swimming pool on a floating barge… And a thrilling day and night life.
